Session Descriptions

Please review the session descriptions below to evaluate which classes you would like to attend.  LBMC Technologies will be hosting four (4) session blocks with four (4) course options each.  Please view the Agenda for a detailed timeline.  Once you have read the session descriptions, please continue to the Registration page to make your selections.

Session One (10-10:45 am)

Session Two (11-11:45 am)

This class will discuss the compliance landscape and solutions available with Microsoft Dynamics GP.

2. Infrastructure Optimization
Infrastructure Optimization serves as a gauge for IT organizations and provides a logical roadmap to progress from reactive to proactive IT service management.  In this session, you will explore the progression of IT systems and find guidance for improving your organization.

3. Motorola Enterprise Mobility Presents GPS in Field Mobility: Real Gains in Critical Times
Field Mobility is entirely about delivering goods and services to the point of activity. Whether it’s at the store, in the home, the job site, or elsewhere in the field, this will most certainly involve using increasingly expensive fuel. Is it a fuel crisis, or an opportunity gain competitive advantage? It’s a matter of education and perspective.

4. OnBase 101
Are you new to ECM (Enterprise Content Management)? This class will introduce you to the OnBase system from a high level, touching on some of the major modules and their functionality. We will also feature a customer testimonial to provide you with an example of a current OnBase implementation and how OnBase has alleviated the customer's pain points.

Session Three (1:15-2 pm)

1. Exciting New Features with the Dynamics GP 10.0 Release
Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 brings personal productivity and business processes to a whole new level. This class will highlight the new features integrated within the Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 release, including new search features and filtering reports.

2. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Sleep better at night knowing your IT assets are protected
Today there are a myriad of technologies offering different approaches to data protection, application availability, high availability and disaster recovery. These technologies typically have at least one thing in common: they are IT-based solutions that are built to protect IT assets. Learn how to choose the right solution based on the level of risk and disruption that can be tolerated by the different parts of your business.

3. SQL Server 2008 Overview
This presentation will provide an overview of the new features, benefits, and functionality in Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

4. Using Touch Points to Build Customer Value in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
From initial contact to focused marketing campaigns for present customers, learn how the new features in CRM 4.0 can positively affect how your customers view your organization.

Session Four (2:15-3 pm)

1. Microsoft Dynamics SL: The Next Wave of Innovation
This course will discuss the new era of growth, innovation, and role-tailored usability within the Microsoft Dynamics SL (formerly Solomon) business system.  It will also include a review of the planned feature pack, which provides collaboration and improved productivity.

2. Windows Server 2008 Technical Overview
This course is an introduction to Windows Server 2008 technologies, including Active Directory Services, Terminal Services, and Hyper-V.

3. Under Promise, Over Deliver – The Vision of SharePoint
An overview of several MOSS deployments that go well beyond the utilization of MOSS as a collaboration tool.  These deployments are based on the installations of regional companies over the past 8 years, and illustrate the evolution of the SharePoint vision and the realization of extraordinary ROI.  The class will conclude with a brief summary of new platform gains anticipated for MOSS on the Windows Server 2008 platform.

4. OnBase: New Features and Integration Capabilities
This class will discuss some of the new features and modules available in OnBase 8.0, including Sharepoint integration capabilities, new App Enabler functionality including point-and-click Great Plains integration, and new API capabilities with Web Services Toolkit.
